LG Second Life Campaign
With millions of pounds of clothing ending up in U.S. landfills each year and COVID-19 hygiene concerns challenging donations, LG Electronics USA is helping take action with “Second Life”. In 2021 we launched the Second Life" 360° campaign to raise awareness of clothing waste and inspire consumers to take responsible action through fabric care, donations, and upcycling.
Whether it’s donating through the Second Life Tour or cleaning out your closets with thredUP x LG Clean Out Kits, LG aims to help decrease our collective fashion footprint.
A 2-cycle donation activation tour (Southwest & East Coast), the LG Second Life Tour is complete with WashTower donation vessels that allow participants to donate apparel and choose something new-to-them for their wardrobe.
An influencer video series called ‘The Art of Upcycling’ features multiple influencer partnerships to strengthen and increase awareness of the Second Life message and campaign.
National and regional partnerships established multiple beneficiaries across the country including Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
An updated website and media tour facilitates proactive media outreach, local press, and nano influencer coverage across the experiential tour.
